I’m originally from England, so if we meet in person, you’ll probably notice an accent… the accent is yours, this is how English supposed to sound. I’ve worked in and around professional art most of my adult life, having trained in graphic design as well as television and video production. Before joining the team at Falls Lake Academy, I’ve worked as a graphic designer, for one of the largest printing companies in North Carolina, as well as creating, writing and drawing comic books. I’m excited at the prospect of being able to show students that there are real links between art history and things they see and do today, as well as opening their eyes to the prospect that art can be a viable career for any of them who might want to follow that path.
Middle School Visual Arts has its own website where students can get the latest information about projects we’re working on, as well as tips, links and recommendations about what equipment and materials they might find useful. The address is: http://mettamart.com/
We asked all Firebirds, what is your story here at Falls Lake Academy. We want to know what drew you to Falls Lake Academy, why have you chosen to stay, and since you have been here how have we grown. What do you think is in Falls Lake Academy's future?
